Time to stop wasting petrol. Learn to drive more efficiently and improve your car’s fuel performance. Discuss car pooling, how to cut down on your trips to town, public transport options, ski field car pooling, improving walking and cycling paths in town.   Soup and bread: 7:00pm – 7:30pm Share free delicious soup and bread provided by Jeannie Crawford from Health Sense and Wanaka Wastebusters. It would be cool to know if you plan to be there for soup. Please call Sophie on 443 8606 ext 7. Best taste, no waste: 7:30 – 9:00 pm We pay top dollar for food in Wanaka, so don’t end up chucking it in the bin. Ideas to help you cut down on food waste: planning meals, making shopping lists, creative cooking using left-overs and what’s in the fridge, organising your pantry. Buy cheaper seasonal produce or eat it out of your garden, get back to basics and cook your own food from scratch. Discuss ways to save on packaging and money: buying in bulk, direct from farmers, or as a co-op. With Rachel Brown and Jeannie Crawford.
