Recirculate
Recirculate is a great idea – because it is designed to pass things around the community. Businesses or households with useful “waste” products list them on the website. People looking for things search the site, and arrange to pick up them.
All the goods are free, and so are listings. You can list things you want to get rid of, or things you’re looking for.
Recirculate will cover the whole Lakes district, and was initiated by QLDC. TerraNova has been running a similar waste exchange in Canterbury for years, which lists items like feathers, shipping containers and pallets.
The website is all ready to go. All we need now is ….. lots and lots of listings. So if you want to pass something on to someone else, log in to www.recirculate.org.nz, or call the coordinator, Jeremy ‘Bis’ Bisson on 443 8606.
