The big blue business truck is on the road at least five days a week. We’ve got two great drivers, on the business team Paul and Jamie. Bis is the main man in the office, although he’ll take any chance to get out of the office and get his hands dirty.
More than 200 businesses recycle with us, which is phenomenal for a small town like Wanaka. A decade ago there wasn’t any recycling at all in Wanaka. It’s been awesome to see the support we’ve had from the business community, and there are all proud to recycle. Many of our small business owners make a living from tourism, and they’re pretty savvy. They know tourists like the story that New Zealand is clean and green, and recycling is a non-negotiable.
Wastebusters business team started from scratch and over the years we’ve learnt a lot about how to make business recycling easy and cost-effective for our customers. We’ve developed three main systems for business recycling. We work with our new customers to tailor one of those systems to suit their business perfectly.
